InfoBoard Solutions is a web-based system. One of the many advantages of this is that it is therefore possible to manage your InfoBoards from any PC with an Internet connection.

The solutions are easy to manage, change and update. Furthermore, it is possible to import information from a wide range of data sources, for example finance and calendar systems.

A system solution with several InfoBoards at multiple locations makes it possible to combine general information that applies to all locations with specific local information on the relevant boards only.

InfoBoard^® consists of an operating system that makes it possible to monitor all screens. The system is an Internet-based .net application that is operated via a central server. This ensures maximum uptime and security.

Operating module
InfoBoard^® operating module installs on a player PC (media player) that run/controls one or more screens.
The software is developed in .Net. And can therefore run under XP Professional with all service packs and .Net framework installed.

Communication
The InfoBoard^® communicates via HTTP protocol default on Port 80, and exchanges pictures, html and xml through InfoBoard® operational module.

The module can be installed and workable via a Proxy Server with or without passwords.

Function
The InfoBoard^® can switch the screens on and off – if they accept”power down”, it also has a restart solution in the case that something happens with the screen. If the network malfunctions during a longer period, the system will automatically play the last shown content and thereafter re-establish the connection to the server when the network is up and running and download any new material. The malfunction will be reported and logged in the Microsoft eventlog.

Hosting and operation - InfoBoard^®

InfoBoard^® operational servers is placed at the locations of ventelo / WEBPARTNER a/s, who delivers an live up-time at 99,9 % and guarantees the bandwidth to the Internet. The solution / hosting is secure and runs with a 24/7-365 surveillance with an service of automatic emergency power and diesel generators.

The hosting runs on a Windows 2003 server with Microsoft SQL server 2000. The solution always has a backup server ready to kick in case of disturbance or power failure.
Updates are managed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
